8 Myths Menopause Wrong Problem

Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age women. When menopause is approaching, the cycle can occur in times of uncertainty and it’s not unusual if menstruation does not come for several months.

There are several misconceptions about menopause which is still widely believed by women. The following are myths about menopause and the truth will in fact:

1. Menopause means you are old

Fact: The average age of menopause a woman is 51 years old and is not too old for today. In fact, some women had entered menopause at the age of 28 years in which this phenomenon is called premature menopause. Causes of early menopause are not known with certainty, although there is a tie with the influence of genetic factors. Some women typically enter menopause early because of illness or removal of the ovaries during surgery.

2. Easy fat

Fact: Many women complain about their weight increases approaching the menopause. Keep in mind, weight gain is not caused because you are experiencing menopause, but because of aging, it also occurs in men. By keeping the diet and doing regular physical activity – (strength training is important to burn calories) – you can pass through menopause without experiencing weight gain.

3. Each woman experienced depression at menopause

Fact: Studies show that most women do not have a problem with menopause-related mood or mood. Some research even reported aged between 45-55 years is the best years of a woman’s life…

Feeling irritable, generally often caused by hot flashes and sleep problems are not diagnosed. Hot flashes occur due to changes in hormone levels with symptoms such as excessive burning sensation. Other possible causes are side effects of drugs or undiagnosed thyroid problem.

4. Menopause damaging your skin

Fact: Gradually, your skin will not become more brittle or damaged due to menopause. But the damage to the skin usually caused by several factors such as sun exposure, smoking and genetics. Smoking can accelerate the process of wrinkles on the skin. Several studies have shown individuals who smoke usually look older than those who do not smoke. If you want to keep skin well groomed, use sunscreen and stay away from cigarette smoke.

5. Your sex life is over

Fact: The issue is not the only hormone that affects a person’s desire for sexual intercourse. Some other things like the quality of relationships, education, feelings about the body’s own stress levels, and even the quality of sleep, it also can affect a woman’s sex life.

6. Menopause miserable for everyone

Fact: There are a large number of variations of how menopause affects women. Nearly three-quarters of them have hot flashes, the most common menopausal symptoms, but only a small portion of hot flashes are very disturbing to say their daily lives.

Indeed many women who claim to be happy entering the menopausal period and say that they can enjoy sexual activity because they do not have to worry about the risk of unwanted pregnancy.

7. Everyone needs a “replacement” hormones

Fact: While some health professionals (doctors) believe that taking estrogen can prevent heart disease and dementia, the majority of women entering menopause hormone therapy just does not do. Today, most women rarely make hormone therapy because some doctors aware of the potential dangers, which include increased risk of breast cancer and cardiovascular problems.

8. Natural hormone therapy safer than conventional hormone therapy

Fact: You may have heard a lot about hormone therapy “bioidentical”, which is often mentioned, is safer to use. Do not be fooled by the statement. Remember, the group bioidentical drugs are not included in the approval of food and drug regulatory agency or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
